The arts are for everyone.
This class provides the special needs community a chance to expand their artistry and movement creativity while giving the example that the arts are for everyone. This dance and movement class is designed for teens and adults. Attendees will participate in an hour-and-a-half class that includes basic to intermediate dance education. Games and fun combinations will be taught to keep the class active and exciting. The first few classes will be used to learn everyone's abilities and then we will use that knowledge to create a fun and enjoyable experience. A final performance to showcase the movement learned will be held at the end of the course. You never know your full potential until you test it, so come and find yours!
Eagle Scout candidate Claire Winnell has partnered with Challenge Mountain and Crooked Tree Arts Center to provide a new experience to the special needs community. Other volunteers will be on site to assist as needed. The class will be offered Mondays and Fridays from 12:30-2:00 PM, February 13th through May 12th.
Participants should wear comfortable athletic clothing and bring a water bottle.
