In recognition of the broad range of subject matter embraced by serious visual artists throughout history, the Board of Directors and professional staff of Crooked Tree Arts Center recommend that all teachers of elementary through high school students preview exhibits at the Arts Center, in person, prior to bringing students through a show.

Young Writers Exposition
The Young Writers Exposition showcases pieces of poetry and prose from elementary, middle, and high school students in Charlevoix and Emmet counties. A team of jurors reads and selects the winning entries, which are then published online in the Petoskey News-Review. All winning writers are honored at the annual Youth Arts Awards Night.
Crooked Tree Arts Center Youth Arts Scholarship
CTAC is offering up to four $1,000 scholarships for graduating high school seniors living in or attending school in Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, and Leelanau counties and pursuing fields of study in the arts. This includes visual arts, performing arts, theatre, dance, and music. Learn more and download an application.
