    Description

11 Sessions; Wednesdays, October 1 - December 17 (No class held week of Thanksgiving)
    4:00 - 7:00 pm

Grades & Student Skill Level: Open to grades 9-12; 8th grade students may also be considered for the program with recommendation from an art teacher, mentor, CTAC faculty, and/or after portfolio review. Contact maren@crookedtree.org for detailed. Homeschooled students are also welcome! This is a portfolio class open to any high school students wanting to be creative and build their skills; this is not just for kids currently enrolled in AP art at school or interested in Art College following graduation- open to all students!

Are you an emerging artist who wants to take your creative development to the next level? Join us for the fourth year of this exciting 11-week high school program, ideal for students interested in upping their art game, building a portfolio for art university, or who simply love art and want more art instruction! Unlike other art classes, class time will be spent diving deep into a variety of materials for their projects, including: drawing, painting, printmaking, etc. Each student will be able to identify a specific direction for their work should they choose. There will also be time spent sharing our work and building a collaborative atmosphere through the art of regular, constructive critique peer-to-peer as well as teacher led. The program culminates in an exciting group art show held at CTAC in the Spring!

Scholarships are Available! Need-based and merit-based scholarships can be awarded; and may cover up to 80% tuition! To apply for a financial scholarship, click here to fill out the form and turn it into CTAC. To be considered for a merit-based scholarship, contact Kristi Wodek at kristi@crookedtree.org to schedule a portfolio review and interview.

    • All materials included; students are encouraged to bring their own supplies if they wish.
    • New projects every week!
