    Description

Throughout time, humans have created meaning and transformed by locating ourselves in relationship to place, to our bodies and other’s bodies in the past, present and future. In this six session course, we will honor our experience of change and welcome the wisdom of the natural world and our bodies through the elements (earth, water, fire, air and ethers) to offer us guidance on how to create sacred space for ourselves as we welcome, witness and honor these changes in our own and each other’s lives.

As we go through change, grief is a natural part of our journey and how we relate to the emotions and challenges of grief can inform how we are able to be resilient and resourced through the transitions that inevitably occur. In this course, you will learn the map of the Grief Wheel, which is informed by a number of different cultures that can offer perspective, support and guidance amidst the uncertainty of life and death. There will also be guided trauma informed practices to help us cultivate this resilience and a connection to our wholeness amidst difficulty.

Each week we will also engage in a different art form, some more externalized, some more internal as we explore different elements, directions and practices to support our resourcing and co-creation with our environment, our life experience and each other.

This is a six part series and signing up for all six sessions is required.
