Pack a picnic and enjoy the sounds of summer with Crooked Tree Arts Center – Petoskey’s Charlotte Ross Lee Concerts in the Park series. Taking place over the course of three months, from June 18 through August 15, this beloved tradition brings local musicians to the Gazebo stage in Pennsylvania Park every Wednesday and Friday from 12:00 to 1:00 pm.
Whether you're spending the day downtown or making a special trip, this concert series offers a wonderful opportunity to celebrate summer, support local music, and connect with your community.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair, settle in with your lunch, and enjoy a relaxing midday break filled with live, family-friendly music in a beautiful outdoor setting in the heart of downtown Petoskey.
Upcoming Concerts in the Park
Concerts begin at 12:00 pm at the Gazebo in Pennsylvania Park. All concerts are free and open to the public. In case of inclement weather, the performances will be canceled or, if possible, moved to the CTAC Theater.

John Richard Paul is a Northern Michigan–based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music blends deeply personal lyrics with a timeless Americana sound, reflecting on life, love, and loss. A veteran of the regional music scene, he has spent the past decade performing with a wide range of Northern Michigan artists, including collaborations with Drew Hale, Rhett & John, and Jack M. Senff & The Heartland Mission. A full-time musician for more than five years, he has become a well-respected mainstay in the local music community.

Keith Scott Blues is the project of guitarist Keith Scott, whose journey as a blues and rock musician has spanned decades of performance and recording. Inspired early on by Muddy Waters, and supported by his family, Scott developed his craft into a distinctive style that eventually drew the attention of blues artists such as Hip Linkchain and Jimmy Dawkins. Extensive touring helped shape his sound and establish his “heavy blues” approach, blending soulful expression with a powerful guitar-driven edge. With a long recording history and an active performance career, Scott continues to share his music with audiences around the world.

Jacob McLeod is a Michigan-based singer-songwriter whose musical journey began during the 2020 lockdown, when he first turned to writing and recording as a creative outlet. What started as a personal project quickly developed into a serious pursuit, leading him to study music production at Central Michigan University while steadily building a catalog of original music. With releases including a full-length album and his EP Selections from the Journal of a Junior in College, McLeod has shaped a sound rooted in honest songwriting and melodic pop-rock sensibilities. Performing both solo and with his band ATJ, he continues to grow as a dynamic live performer and emerging voice in Michigan’s music scene.

Boondoggle Cats is the musical collaboration of Julie and John Podulka, who have been making music together since meeting at Michigan State University in 1978. After raising their family in the western suburbs of Chicago, they retired in 2018 and returned to Northern Michigan, settling in the Village of Wolverine, Julie’s hometown. Julie spent twenty-five years teaching first grade, often weaving music into her classroom. John worked for many years with Borders Books & Music, where he hosted open mic nights and booked live performances, keeping a strong connection to the regional music scene. Together, they bring a relaxed, joy-centered approach to performing, rooted in decades of shared experience and a love of singing, songwriting, and harmony.

Chris Koury is a versatile performer and educator based in Petoskey with a broad interest in multiple musical genres. Music has been a central part of his life from an early age, and he is active as a performer, composer, and teacher. He approaches his work with a focus on expression, learning, and connection through music, both on stage and in the classroom.

The Tweed Tones are a Northern Michigan duo featuring Peter Allen Jensen on harmonica, percussion, and vocals, and Preston Parish on guitar, bass, and vocals. Though a two-piece group, they create a full, dynamic sound that moves easily between stripped-down and high-energy performance settings. Their music draws from Chicago blues, New Orleans jazz, and related American roots styles, shaped by a versatile set list that adapts to both intimate listening rooms and larger festival stages. Formed in 2024, the duo has quickly become an active presence in the Northern Michigan music scene.

Ed Tatum performs a mix of folk, pop, rock, and singer-songwriter material. He also plays with The Pints, a Columbus-based Irish-American pub band. He has been a featured performer in the Concerts in the Park series for the past three summers.

Holly Keller-Thompson is a Northern Michigan singer-songwriter known for her soulful vocals and engaging live performances. She performs both as a solo artist and as part of the Holly Keller-Thompson Duo, blending original folk-influenced songs with select cover material. An active member of the regional arts community, Holly has worked with the Blissfest Music Organization as both a performer and contributor. Her background also includes fronting the band Kellerville and participating in the Blissfest Songwriters Retreat, with performances throughout Northern Michigan in a variety of live and online settings.
