Join us on Thursday, September 22nd, from 5:30-7 pm for the opening receptions for Travelogues: Juried Photography Exhibition, Work: Juried Exhibition of Functional Art, and the Crooked Tree Photographic Society Exhibition 2022. Enjoy appetizers and a cash bar while viewing the exhibitions.

The Travelogues: Juried Exhibition of Functional Art highlights outstanding images that embody the essence of travel. Forty-eight pieces by 25 Michigan artists were selected for this exhibition. The exhibition was juried by Emily Lanctot, Director and Curator at Northern Michigan University - DeVos Art Museum.

Work: Juried Exhibition of Functional Art features work exploring the relationship between form and function. Through inventive and creative use of materials and functional forms, themes of craft, design, adornment, work, and process emerge. Artists from across the USA were invited to submit work for this opportunity. The selections were made by guest juror Thomas Pyrzewski, Director of Galleries and Special Programming at Wayne State University.

The Crooked Tree Photographic Society Exhibition 2022 is an annual exhibition featuring recent work by members of the Crooked Tree Photographic Society. The photographs included in this show were self-selected by the group through peer review. Intricate details from nature, evocative scenes and moments, and creatively constructed compositions work together in this intriguing and inspiring exhibition.
