CTAC Class & Event Policies

Unless otherwise noted in Crooked Tree Arts Center event communications, these are our policies.

Photography & Video Policy

Unless otherwise communicated to CTAC in writing, by visiting our buildings or outdoor spaces or registering for an event or class (on-site or off-site), you grant Crooked Tree Arts Center permission to photograph or film you or your child’s participation in our programs (exhibits, events, classes, etc.). CTAC retains the right to disseminate or publish these images and videos for educational or promotional purposes, including via our website, social media channels, marketing and advertising assets.

Crooked Tree Arts Center does not permit outside filming or photography for commercial use without written consent.

Cancellation Policy for Classes

Student Withdrawal

Requests for cancellation by the student at least seven (7) days prior to the first day of class will be honored (minus a $20 processing fee).  NO REFUNDS will be given for a student cancellation made less than seven (7) days in advance of the first day of the class.

 

Class Cancellations (Weather)

  • CTAC - Petoskey: In the event of inclement weather, CTAC-Petoskey will announce the cancellation on its website and phone system (231-347-4337). Additionally, an email will be sent to the registered contact on file announcing the cancellation. When Public Schools of Petoskey are closed due to inclement weather, CTAC-Petoskey classes are canceled. We will do our best to provide a make-up opportunity for the missed class. Refunds will not be given if the student is unable to attend the rescheduled session of class. Workshops and one-time classes will be handled on a per-class basis. 
  • CTAC - School of Ballet: When Public Schools of Petoskey are closed due to inclement weather, CTAC-Petoskey School of Ballet classes are canceled. An email will be sent to the registered contact on file announcing the cancellation. Students are asked to make up the missed class in an alternate session approved by their instructor.
  • CTAC - Traverse City: In the event of inclement weather, CTAC-TC will announce the cancellation on its website and phone system (231-941-9488). Additionally, an email will be sent to the registered contact on file announcing the cancellation. We will do our best to provide a make-up opportunity for the missed class. Refunds will not be given if the student is unable to attend the rescheduled session of class. Please note that CTAC-TC does not follow Traverse City Area Public School closings.

Student Absence

We are unable to offer refunds or make-up sessions for classes missed due to student absence.

Minimum Enrollment

Crooked Tree Arts Center reserves the right to cancel any class that does not meet its minimum student enrollment prior to the first class session. If a class is canceled by CTAC for lack of enrollment, CTAC will offer a full refund to the student in the manner in which tuition was paid. (Cash payments will be refunded by check.)

Please note that CTAC does not assume responsibility for travel costs for out-of-town students.

Requests for cancellation by the attendee at least fourteen (14) days prior to the first day of the event will be honored (minus a $20 processing fee). NO REFUNDS will be given for a student cancellation made less than fourteen (14) days in advance of the first day of the event.

Event Cancellations (Weather)

  • CTAC - Petoskey: In the event of inclement weather, CTAC-Petoskey will announce the cancellation on its website and phone system (231-347-4337). Additionally, an email will be sent to the registered contact on file announcing the cancellation. Make-up events will be scheduled on a case-by-case basis depending on the type of event. 
  • CTAC - School of Ballet: In the event of inclement weather, CTAC-Petoskey will announce the cancellation on its website and phone system (231-347-4337). An email will be sent to the registered contact on file announcing the cancellation. 
  • CTAC - Traverse City: In the event of inclement weather, CTAC-TC will announce the cancellation on its website and phone system (231-941-9488). Additionally, an email will be sent to the registered contact on file announcing the cancellation. Make-up events will be scheduled on a case-by-case basis.

  • Crooked Tree Arts Center is a non-smoking/non-vaping facility.
  • Crooked Tree Arts Center is a weapons-free facility.
