Never Thought Twice is a collection of works by Egan Franks Holzhausen. All works were made with upcycled materials, including old paintings discarded or abandoned in a community studio, scrap wood, and leftover paint from other projects or one-off samples from big box stores. Franks Holzhausen tries to be resourceful as possible when it comes to making paintings of her everyday life.
Egan Franks Holzhausen received a BFA at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a MFA from Kendall College of Art and Design. She teaches a variety of painting and drawing classes at Crooked Tree Art Center and North Central Michigan College and she has been teaching art to youth and adults since 2009. Egan's teaching style matches her art style: playful, energetic, and inclusive.
When she's not teaching or working in her studio, Franks Holzhausen enjoys her time spent outdoors.
