School Docent Tours

Bring your class to experience a fun and educational guided tour of our current exhibits throughout the entire school year! If your school has limited transportation funds, please reach out to us—we offer financial assistance to help cover busing costs.

School tours are concluded for the season. Winter tours will resume in January! Please check back in the new year for the calendar link to book your visit!

Our exhibits showcase a diverse range of artists and subject matter. We strongly encourage all teachers of elementary through high school students to preview exhibits in person at the Crooked Tree Arts Center before bringing their classes. This ensures the best possible experience for your students.

Youth Art Show

The Annual Youth Art Show celebrates the creativity of students from Char-Em ISD and local homeschool communities. This Spring exhibition transitions the galleries with floor-to-ceiling displays of artwork from students in grades K–12. The show also includes a variety of awards recognizing outstanding student work across all grade levels.

Young Writers Exposition

The Young Writers Exposition highlights original poetry and prose by elementary, middle, and high school students in Charlevoix and Emmet counties. A panel of jurors selects standout submissions, which are then published online in the Petoskey News-Review and on CTAC’s website.

Crooked Tree Arts Center Youth Arts Scholarship

CTAC awards two $2,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who live in or attend school in Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, or Leelanau counties and plan to pursue careers in the arts. Eligible fields include visual arts, performing arts, theatre, dance, and music.

Professional Development Day

In partnership with Charlevoix-Emmet ISD, Crooked Tree Arts Center - Petoskey hosts an annual professional development day for art educators. This workshop explores creative ways to integrate art and creativity in the classroom and studio.
