I’m drawn to the stories found in fabric—the threads, textures, and marks inspired by nature, layered with paint, stencils, and time. My work brings these elements together to create pieces that are both expressive and functional, blending beauty with everyday use.
I’ve been a fiber artist for as long as I can remember. Taught to knit, crochet, and sew by my grandmother and great aunt—and with a tailor for a grandfather—working with textiles is truly in my blood. After beginning my studies as a textile design major at Michigan State University in the 1970s, my creative path expanded into handmade paper, book arts, and calligraphy. Today, I’ve found my voice in what I call functional shelf art—where organization becomes an art form.
Everyone deserves beauty in their daily life, and I would love to create custom “canvas carpentry” pieces designed specifically for your home. More information at Crooked Tree.
