Guild Pop-Up Exhibit: Betsy Miller-Jones

Betsy Miller-Jones paints landscapes and still life in pastels and watercolor. She grew up around the lakes and beaches of northern Michigan and paints scenes of water, waves, boats and beaches that reflect those memories that bring her joy.
Betsy also spends time in the winter on the beaches in northern Florida which inspire her paintings of sand dunes, birds and views of the ocean.  In addition, she enjoys painting still life fruit, flowers and animals.   Betsy was originally attracted to the brilliant colors of pastels when she retired from full time work in 2017 and began exploring the medium through classes at the Scottsdale Artists School where she lived briefly in Arizona.  While there she took classes in drawing, painting with oils, pastels and watercolor.  Betsy now lives in Saint Augustine Florida on Crescent Beach during the winters and spends summers on Mullett Lake, Michigan.  She shares her art at the Art Studio in Saint Augustine Beach FL, and Crooked Tree Arts in Michigan.  Betsy belongs to the First Coast Pastel Society and the Great Lakes Pastel Society.
