Cherry State of Mind
Cherry State of Mind celebrates the 100th anniversary of the National Cherry Festival and honors the fruit that has helped define Northern Michigan's landscape, economy, and identity for generations. From spring blossoms and orchard rows to harvest season and cherished traditions, cherries have become woven into the story of our region and established Traverse City as a place recognized around the state as Cherry Capital.
Through painting, photography, and other media, artists explore the many ways cherries inspire a sense of place, memory, abundance, and community. Whether depicting the beauty of the orchards, the people and traditions behind the harvest, or the symbolic journey from blossom to fruit, Cherry State of Mind celebrates the enduring connection between art, agriculture, and Northern Michigan's rich heritage.
