Biography

Julio C. Suarez received an MFA in Painting from Indiana University Bloomington and a BFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. There is where he discovered his passion for drawing and painting from direct observation. Suarez is Department Chair and an Associate Professor of Art at Hillsdale College in Michigan. He paints portraits, landscapes and still life in both oils and watercolor. His work has been exhibited nationally including at Manifest Gallery, The Painting Center, Principle Gallery and the Rockport Art Association.
