Session III: July 31 – August 19

Beginning Ballet (Ages 4-6):  Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10:00 AM – 10:40 AM with Karrie Benedict

Designed to be a dancer’s first class; imparting the two ballet positions.  This workshop will focus on arm placement, pointing of toes, stretching, turnout, poise, & classroom etiquette.  At the end of each session all students should be able to execute the two positions by name, have a solid basic concept of the way their bodies move & be excited for their next dance class!

Beginning Intermediate Ballet (Ages 6-8): Tuesdays & Thursdays from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM with Karrie Benedict

Beginning/Intermediate level introduces the young dancer to the true outline of a ballet class.  Structured ballet barre with center combinations & French terminology are all composites of this class that shape the students for their future ballet classes.  This level is the perfect transition from a beginning class; a necessary step to the intermediate level.
