“Creativity is not a talent, it is a way of operating.”

Join local artist and author Edy Stoughton on November 16 at 11:00 AM for an interactive, participatory conversation about living creatively and how crucial it is for all of us.  Hands-on activities will demonstrate how to bring out and nurture your inner creativity in a fun, non-threatening way and motivate you to integrate creativity into your days for a healthier, happier lifestyle.

About Edy

Edy Stoughton makes her home on Sturgeon Bay where she is inspired to make art every day.  She has authored a book about her experiences and feelings upon her retirement as Head of School of a private school three years ago.  The book, My Reluctant Journey: Lessons Learned on the Path to Retirement chronicled her first year of retirement and the crucial part that discovering her creativity played in helping her navigate that transition.

Edy was a teacher and educational administrator for 35 years.  Through the years as she worked with children, she became convinced of the necessary role the arts play in students’ lives in developing self-confidence, curiosity and problem solving skills.  Now she enjoys speaking about how participating in the arts can play the same crucial role in the lives of adults, particularly during times of life transition.

Join the conversation on May 3 at 11 AM to learn how to connect with your own artist within!  This event is free and open to the public.

The Living Artfully Lectures Series focuses on enriching the mind, body and soul.  These interactive talks will unlock your creative potential and help you develop paths to a healthy, fulfilling lifestyle.
