In recognition of the broad range of subject matter embraced by serious visual artists throughout history, the Board of Directors and professional staff of Crooked Tree Arts Center recommend that all teachers of elementary through high school students preview exhibits at the Arts Center, in person, prior to bringing students through a show. Ansel Adams: Masterworks Exhibit

Image date: 1958

The Ansel Adams: Masterworks exhibit is comprised of 48 photographs hand-selected by Ansel Adams to represent his body of work.  Ansel Adams (1902-1948) was considered to be one of the most influential American photographers of his time.  Not only did his work play a major role in elevating photography to an art form comparable with painting and music, Adams’ images were used to help expand the National Park System and to promote environmental awareness through his work with Sierra Club.  Learn more about Ansel Adams.
