Call for Art: Highways & Byways
    Open to Michigan Artists

    Ages 18+

    All Mediums Welcome

Crooked Tree Arts Center – Traverse City invites Michigan artists to submit work for Highways and Byways, a juried exhibition exploring the roads we travel, both literal and metaphorical.

Whether it's the well-worn highway or the winding, lesser-known path, we’re seeking artwork that reflects your personal interpretation of highways and byways. Think of the byway as a circuitous path, a minor road or trail, a shortcut, or even a hidden detail; places and ideas that exist just outside the main route.

This theme invites exploration, reflection, and storytelling across all visual art forms.

    Eligibility:

    • Open to artists 18 years and older
    • Must be a Michigan resident
    • All mediums welcome and encouraged

    Key Dates:
    Submission Deadline: August 7, 2025
Exhibition Dates: September 9 - October 25, 2025 | Location: Crooked Tree Arts Center – Traverse City

So let’s ‘hit the road’ and see where this exhibit takes us!
