The Most Incredible Thing

Join the CTAC School of Ballet for our adaptation of, The Most Incredible Thing!

Published in 1870, Hans Christian Andersen’s little-known, yet powerful morality tale about the fragility of art, culture, and ethics in the face of aggression and hunger for destruction. A story of this nature is best shared by our unique, intergenerational community of professional and young dancers.

Bid on the Artwork!

TMIT

The Time is at Hand, the original artwork for the Crooked Tree Arts Center School of Ballet’s 2025 production of, The Most Incredible Thing, is a piece of graphic design work by Benjamin Cheney. The work was done with his non-dominant hand while he recovered from a surgery on his dominant hand. The medium of graphic design was chosen to allow for the hours of the clock to be projected onstage as a part of the performance. This is the first time the auctioned artwork is part of the performance.

This print is part of a short print run, and each of the six choreographers of the ballet will be receiving a smaller print. This large print is thereby connected in a community that created the ballet, for the ballet. Proceeds from the highest bid will go towards our dancers' scholarships.
