Artist Profile

Sue Bowerman has always loved to paint! She grew up being fascinated and surrounded by art. Her mother and grandmother were both artists and encouraged her from an early age. After a career in social work Sue was able to focus on art, taking classes and workshops in Michigan and Arizona. She primarily paints with oils, but also dabbles in acrylic, cold wax and watercolor emphasizing color, texture and light in her work. Sue especially enjoys painting plein air landscapes of this beautiful part of the world with art buddies. She also loves the winter hours painting in her studio. Her work is available at paint outs, juried exhibits throughout the area and at the Sanctuary Gallery at the the Grand Traverse Commons. Sue has been a featured artist at Paint Grand Traverse.
