Artist Profile

My love for pen, pencil and paint have always been a part of my life. Early on I developed a love affair with letterforms, starting with penmanship class in elementary school and carrying on throughout adulthood. As a child I was always making letters or drawing, always curious about the lines and shapes that made up the landscape and the objects that surrounded me. Today I divide my time in my studio between calligraphy, painting in acrylic and watercolor,collage and drawing. On my artistic journey, I have had the privilege of studying with a wide range of wonderful artists, both in the lettering arts, as well as various classes and workshops in watercolor and acrylic painting. I strive to create beauty and evoke emotion in my work and to share that beauty with others, whether it is with letters made with a pen or brush or a brush with paint.
