Artists Statement

I try to select themes that have some personal meaning.

Most of my paintings are done oil on canvas, in my studio, from reference photographs and/or drawings.

I feel privileged to be able to have the opportunity and fortunate to have the skills to pursue this avocation.

Biography

After studying art in high school I moved to Emmet County, Michigan to become a full-time artist, however life interfered.

In 1974, I started and owned a sign company in Emmet County. In 2014, I retired and began painting full-time.
