Artist Profile

As a highly visual person, creating art “fills up my basket”!  My vision is to stir a response in the viewer by utilizing expressive brush strokes and highlighting the light.

I studied retailing and art, and as a buyer of designer women's wear, I honed my eye for fine design. Later, after studying further at the Cincinnati Art Academy, I established a business with two fellow artists working on interiors, creating murals and custom works.

I love rich creamy oil paint and focus on capturing light and shadows, using a colorful palette.  I see beauty everywhere and love to try to capture my view of the world on canvas.

When not painting, I am either playing with my grandchildren, traveling or hiking.  As I explore the world I compose photographs with future art projects in mind. My art enhances my observation skills, and my life informs my art.  My creative pursuits are central to my being.
