Mike has been creating since he can remember.  His latest endeavor has involved communicating the depth of his environment.  Since 2013, Mike has been working on creating a 3D view based on a toy he had as a kid called a View-Master. This has brought a deeper understanding of creating an illusion of depth in his standard paintings.

Mike Hyrman recently won 3rd place for People’s Choice Award in 2018 Experience Art Rapids and received Top 25 Public Vote category for his 2018 ArtPrize entry at the Harris Building in Grand Rapids. He has won awards at Baypointe exhibit, National Cherry Festival and at the Michigan Watercolor Society show in 2012.  Mike has been teaching since 2003.
