Crooked Tree Arts Center will host its special summer send-off event, “Super Summer Swirl,” presented with the help and generosity of D & W Fresh Market.
CTAC's annual Summer Super Swirl takes place from 5:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 29, with activities, food, drink,and music occurring in all areas of the arts center, Carnegie Building, outdoor plaza, and back courtyard.
Hosted by D&W fresh Market, Summer Super Swirl features nearly 50 tasting tables of wine, beer, and food. With more than 150 wine, beer and bubbly varieties to sample, guests can sip and savor while enjoying a wide selection of delicious food - favorites include Sushi Kabar, a prime rib carving station, Boars Head imported meats & cheeses, BBQ ribs, shrimp, cannoli, and more!
New this year! The back courtyard "Bier Garden" will feature a grill station with Open Acres Founder Brats - made with Founders Brewing Beer and served with Founders stone ground mustard. Guests can enjoy while playing lawn games on loan from the Petoskey Library.
Summer Super Swirl includes live performances by local musicians Pete "Big Dog" Fetters, The Pistil Whips, The Real Ingredients, and Jeff Pagel. With a variety of musical genres being showcased, the art center transforms into an indoor and outdoor concert venue for the evening.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for the Summer Super Swirl, with food and music going until 8 p.m.
Tickets are $25 per person in advance and $30 the day of the event. Advanced purchase is encouraged, as tickets are subject to availability. This event is for those 21 years and up.
