    Description

    Join 2019 Juried Photography Exhibition juror, John Fergus-Jean, as he discusses his selection process for the exhibit.  

    John Fergus-Jean, MFA,  is an Emeritus Professor of Photography, former curator of photography, and a master photographic printer. In these roles he has created: graduate and undergraduate art curricula, numerous museum and university art exhibitions, national art symposia, and many scholarly lectures.

    His own artwork has been exhibited in university and museum venues, and his scholarly essays have been published in books such as: Teachers on Photography,  Perception and Imaging, and The Focal Encyclopedia of Photography. 

    Fergus-Jean has also held many leadership positions in the arts, higher education, and the museum world including: Director of the Silver Image Gallery for The Ohio State University; Curator and Director of the Ross Study Center at the Columbus Museum of Art;  chief consultant for the development of the Ross Museum at Ohio Wesleyan University; Board President of Dialogue, a critical art journal; and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Photography, Cinema and Video at The Ohio State University.
